1. Charging of aircraft model drone batteries

Charging current: Charging current must not exceed the charging current specified in the specification (usually 0.5~1.0C or less). Charging with a current higher than the recommended current may cause problems with the battery's charging and discharging performance, mechanical properties, and stability, and may cause heating or leakage. It is recommended not to frequently use 5C charging for aircraft model batteries currently sold on the market, so as not to affect the battery life.

Charging temperature: The battery needs to be charged within the ambient temperature range specified in the product specification, otherwise the battery is easily damaged. When the battery surface temperature is found to be abnormal (referring to the battery surface temperature exceeding 50°C), charging should be stopped immediately.

Charging voltage: The charging voltage must not exceed the specified limit voltage (4.2V/single cell), and 4.25V is the limit of the charging voltage for each cell. (Direct charging is strictly prohibited, otherwise it may cause overcharging of the battery cell, and the user is responsible for the consequences of incorrect use of the battery).

Reverse charging: Connect the positive and negative poles of the battery correctly. Reverse charging is strictly prohibited. If the positive and negative poles are connected in reverse, the battery cannot be charged. Reverse charging will damage the battery and even cause heating, leakage, and fire.

2. Model drone battery discharge

Discharge temperature: The battery needs to be discharged within the operating temperature range specified in the specification. When the battery surface temperature exceeds 70°C, stop using it temporarily until the battery cools down to room temperature.

Discharge current: The discharge current shall not exceed the discharge current specified in the specification (acknowledgement). Excessive current discharge will cause a sharp decrease in capacity and cause the battery to overheat and expand.

Overdischarge: Overdischarge will cause battery damage. The voltage of the single cell shall not be lower than 3.6V during discharge.

3. Storage of Model Aircraft Drone Batteries

Model Aircraft Drone Batteries should be stored in a cool environment. When storing batteries for a long time (more than 3 months), it is recommended to place them in an environment with a temperature of 10-25°C and low temperature without corrosive gases. During long-term storage, the battery should be charged and discharged once every 3 months to maintain battery activity and ensure that the voltage of each battery cell is within the range of 3.7 to 3.9V.
